We are hiring!
The Digital Euro Association (DEA) is offering a 50% position (20h/week) Executive Director position starting June 2022. This role’s exposure is analogous with a mid-level position in a consulting company or other corporation. The Executive Director will support the DEA towards its core pillars (1) providing education, (2) building a community, and (3) fostering collaborations around the digital euro with a particular focus on stablecoins and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). 

What you will do
Tasks will include, amongst others, 

  • Community building 
  • Business development 
  • Research 
  • Advisory 
  • Event and project management

What we are looking for
Ideally, we are looking for a smart, motivated, young and tech-savvy individual who has a Bachelor’s degree or a Masters’ degree. The ideal candidate has a background that intersects between business, economics, and computer science/tech-savviness. Note that we are not searching for interns or working students (in German: Werkstudenten*innen) but rather, entry-level to mid-level candidates.

  • Requirements: Tech orientation, blockchain knowledge, some business development capabilities, professional level of English. 
  • Preferred: Knowledge of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) and stablecoins, professional level of German language.

We match standard academic research assistant salaries of German universities.
