We are excited to announce that we, the Digital Euro Association (DEA), are seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual to fill a position as an Executive Director (20 hours per week). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the DEA's core initiatives: (1) education, (2) community building, and (3) public affairs, particularly focusing on regulated digital currencies such as stablecoins, commercial bank money tokens, and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).

Key responsibilities include:

• Business development - developing strategies to acquire new members and devising other strategies to diversify revenues
• Public Affairs - developing formats and political positions for communication with political stakeholders on the European and national level
• Partnership management - building and sustaining connections with existing members
• Research - autonomous, regular knowledge building
• Organization of events and speaking engagements
• Project management
• Podcast management - organisation, recording, editing and publishing

This role offers a broad scope of activities, providing a rich, hands-on experience with one of the leading global think tanks around digital currencies.

We are ideally looking for a passionate, driven, and tech-savvy candidate who possesses either a completed Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree and has a keen interest in digital currencies. Preferred academic backgrounds include a combination of business, economics, and computer science.

Requirements for this position include:

• A strong orientation towards technology with basic knowledge of blockchain/digital currencies
• Skills in business development, community building, and communications
• Native German language speaker
• Proficiency in English at a professional level

Additional preferences:

• Prior knowledge of digital currencies
• Based in Germany
