CBDC Conference to take place in Frankfurt soon

The Digital Euro Association (DEA) is delighted to contribute and participate in the CBDC Conference, which will take place in Frankfurt, Germany, from August 29-31, 2022.

This leading event in the field of central bank digital currency (CBDC) offers representatives of central banks, the financial sector, technology providers, policymakers, and academics the perfect platform to learn about the latest developments in CBDC, exchange ideas with experts and peers, and advance the cause of CBDC. The 3-day program comprises presentations, panel discussions, case studies from around the world, and moments to network with specialists. The list of published speakers already includes, among other participants, central banks, the European Commission and the Bank for International Settlements.

Dr. Jonas Gross, DEA’s Chairman, will conduct a workshop on technical solutions for CBDCs and their implications in the use cases, showing the different scenarios that need to be considered in a particular technical choice. Conrad Kraft, Executive Director of DEA, will moderate a panel about offline payments and financial inclusion through CBDC. As a knowledge partner, DEA also proposed high-level panelists, engaging the CBDC community to share their knowledge in such an important event.

“We are thrilled to contribute to such a landmark CBDC event. It will be a great pleasure to directly discuss CBDC design aspects with various central banks and tech providers present at the CBDC Conference”, says Jonas Gross.

Beat Attinger from the CBDC Conference notes: "We are very pleased that the CBDC Conference has been so well received. More than 50 high-profile speakers are confirmed, with over 25 representing the BIS and central banks from around the world. This makes the CBDC Conference a valuable platform for interested parties to meet and examine CBDCs from different angles.”
